The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency claimed it can be alarmed about the high number of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your substantial variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is a SRD result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services point made for intervention encounters a superior influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to permit the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
